國際處簡介 Introduction

馬偕紀念社會事業基金會也就是馬偕紀念醫院的董事會遂於1995年開始籌設醫學院，立意以耶穌基督救世服務人群的愛心，效法馬偕博士「寧願燒盡，不願銹壞」之精神，結合馬偕紀念醫院既有之臨床醫療基礎、充沛之研究與教學能力，培育富有尊重生命、關懷弱勢族群之醫療專業人才，並以基督信仰為基礎，提供學生「身、心、靈完整醫治」之全人醫學教育訓練為前提，設校興學。歷經十數年的努力，於2009年3月30日立案申請通過，教育部准予立案並同意於同年開始招生。2025年8月升格為醫學大學，為回應教育部推動高等教育國際化政策及本校校務發展計畫方向，特設立「國際事務處」為一級單位。

The motto of MacKay Medical University is “Worship God, love people, humbly forbear, pursue excellence.” After more than a decade of dedicated effort, the application for establishment was officially approved on March 30, 2009; the Ministry of Education granted accreditation and authorized the commencement of student recruitment that same year. In August 2025, the university was officially upgraded to Mackay Medical University. In response to the Ministry of Education’s policy on promoting the internationalization of higher education and in alignment with the university’s strategic development plan, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) was established as a first-level administrative unit.

國際事務處之設立，旨在整合原先分散於各處室之國際事務，建立單一窗口與專責團隊，提升政策推動一致性與行政效能。本處室致力於提供學生、教職員及國際訪賓即時且全面的國際交流資訊，並促進與海外學者及機構的聯繫與合作，打造便捷高效的國際交流平台。

The establishment of the OIA aims to integrate international affairs that were previously dispersed across various offices, creating a unified service window and dedicated team to enhance policy consistency and administrative efficiency. The OIA is committed to providing students, faculty, and international visitors with timely and comprehensive information on global engagement, facilitating collaboration with overseas scholars and institutions, and building an efficient and accessible platform for international exchange.

未來五年本處發展計畫目標涵蓋(一）國際事務組織優化與行政效能精進、（二）雙語行政服務與校園國際化環境建置、（三）跨文化交流與國際志工培育、（四）國際學術合作與雙聯學位推動、（五）境外學生拓展與支持服務。
