本中心主要受北美路加醫療傳道會 (LCMM) 慷慨贊助，承襲馬偕博士「寧願燒盡，不願鏽壞」的精神，推動全校教職員生與世界接軌，將醫療關懷傳遞至全球角落。
Primarily sponsored by the Luke Christian Medical Mission of North America (LCMM), the OIA upholds Dr. George Leslie Mackay’s spirit of "Worship God, love people, humbly forbear, pursue excellence." We strive to connect our faculty, staff, and students with the global community, extending medical care and compassion to every corner of the world. We practice global mobility and cross-cultural leadership through our four core pillars:
核心特色服務 Our Services
- 指導校內國際健康與文化交流社 Advising the International Health and Culture Exchange Club
本中心指導國際健康與文化交流社，統籌並執行三大核心專案。 The Center guides the International Health and Culture Exchange Club, which leads three flagship initiatives.
1) 海外志工服務隊 (International Volunteer Service Team)：與財團法人世光協會合作前往泰國泰北或小桂河地區進行醫療宣教；並與馬偕紀念醫院攜手赴柬埔寨開展海外義診。
Partnering with the Shi-Kuang Association for medical missions in Northern Thailand or River Kwai, and collaborating with MacKay Memorial Hospital for medical outreach in Cambodia.
2) 酒精不耐症衛教服務隊 (Alcohol Intolerance Education Service Team)： 定期前往台東、恆春等偏鄉推廣酒精不耐症衛教與篩檢，並於校內舉辦酒精不耐症宣導週，深化全人照護與公衛溝通實踐。
Conducting community health education and screening in rural areas like Taitung and Hengchun, as well as hosting on-campus Alcohol Intolerance Awareness Weeks to promote public health awareness and holistic care practices.
3) 馬偕醫大台美學生文化交流營 (MMU Taiwanese and American Students Cultural Exchange Camp)：匯聚台美兩地醫學生，在全英文沉浸式環境中，針對臨床實務、醫療體制及人文關懷展開深度對話，培育具國際視野的未來醫者。
Bringing together healthcare students from Taiwan and the U.S. for immersive dialogues on clinical practices, healthcare systems, and humanistic care, cultivating future medical professionals with global perspectives.
- 跨文化交流月活動Cross-Cultural Exchange Monthly
中心每月定期舉辦多元體驗活動，圍繞以下四大系列主題展開，讓學生在校園內即可與世界接軌、深化國際移動力：教育部海外計畫系列、國際職涯系列講座、國際移動力增能系列、宗教信仰文化系列。
The Center hosts monthly interactive events centered around four primary thematic series, enabling students to connect with the world and elevate their global mobility right here on campus:Ministry of Education Overseas Programs Series, International Career Lecture Series, Global Mobility Enhancement Series and Religion, Faith, and Culture Series.
- 國際校園大使大使 International Student Ambassadors
我們選拔具服務熱忱的學生成立校園大使團隊。大使們負責接待國際外賓、協助國際生融入生活，並深度參與國際事務策劃。在第一線的參與中，培養領導力、外語實踐力與全球共感力。
We recruit passionate students to serve as Student Ambassadors. These ambassadors are responsible for receiving international guests, assisting international students with campus integration, and participating in the planning of international affairs. Through first-hand involvement, students develop leadership, foreign language proficiency, and global empathy.
- 跨文化共融空間 OIA Hub
我們打造了一個如國際事務處實體中心般的友善場域。這裡不僅是提供學生海外諮詢與行政支援的樞紐，更是外語討論、異國文化展示與學生情感連結的溫馨角落。
We have created a welcoming physical environment at the OIA center. It serves not only as a hub for overseas study consultations and administrative support but also as a cozy corner for foreign language discussions, cultural exhibitions, and social connection.
